Privacy policy

This policy covers all Tidewell Software products and this website. Tidewell Software is operated by a sole trader based in the United Kingdom ("we"). We collect as little data as possible.

What our products process

  • WordPress plugins: run on your own website; data such as order and withdrawal records stays in your WordPress database. If you opt in to Freemius usage tracking or buy a licence, Freemius processes account and licence data under its own privacy policy.
  • Atlassian apps (Forge): run on Atlassian's infrastructure.
    • ThreadCast stores only the configuration you enter (webhook URLs, encrypted, and filters) and a short delivery log in Forge storage. Issue details are sent only to the Google Chat webhooks you configure and are not stored by us.
    • Markreef stores nothing: the Markdown and options you enter are saved by Confluence inside your page. It makes no external requests.
    • Seenby stores Atlassian account IDs and timestamps of who is viewing a work item in Forge storage, for at most 24 hours, plus your opt-out setting if you choose to hide yourself.
  • Apify Actors: run on Apify's platform with your inputs; results are stored in your own Apify account. We see aggregated run statistics provided by Apify, not your result data.
  • ActionBridge (hosted MCP servers): runs on Cloudflare. We store the converted tool list, your API credentials encrypted (AES-256-GCM), hashes of your keys, and request metadata (time, tool name, outcome, status, duration) for 30 days. Tool arguments, request bodies and API responses are never stored. The free converter runs in your browser and uploads nothing. Details: ActionBridge security and data handling.

This website

  • No cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. All scripts and fonts are served from this site.
  • Cloudflare hosts the site and processes standard request logs (such as IP address and user agent) to deliver and protect it.
  • The PDF to Markdown converter and the Mermaid editor run entirely in your browser; files and diagrams are not uploaded.
  • The "Which ATS" lookup sends requests from your browser directly to the public job-board services it checks (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, SmartRecruiters, Recruitee, Personio). Those services receive your IP address as with any visit. Nothing is sent to us.

Support emails

If you email us, we keep the correspondence to help you, for up to 2 years.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We use only the processors named above (Freemius, Atlassian, Apify, our email provider) and Cloudflare to host this website.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for access, correction or deletion of your personal data: email [email protected]. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
